People worry that a time will come when AI gets so good that we will not be able to tell what is real. Maybe it will fool us for a second, but not for long. As the tech improves, the human mind improves with it. Our sense for authenticity evolves. What feels uncanny today will feel obvious tomorrow.

The pattern is simple: every time machines get better at copying us, we get better at spotting shallow copies.

Where this is all heading
